A gathering place for jewelry makers to share ideas, make friends, & to have fun
We brought back many arrowheads from AZ & NM recently and want to make necklaces, like goes on a hoop necklace.
Can someone post a pic how to wrap the wire please?
Also, have some small sea shells that'd make great matching earring/necklace sets.
Does anyone drill into shells to attach lil rings?
Any help or pics would be greatly appreciated
Thanks

A small hand drill would work nicely on the shells or a small round metal file. (you go slow, but it helps prevent breaking and chipping) As far as wrapping the arrow heads you probably want to use a nice metal like gold or silver, and in not to thick a gauge and not too hard either. The gauge should look proportional to your arrow heads. The trick is remembering that if you're not careful with how you wrap the wire could get scratched or dinged up since the arrowheads are sharp.
great
thanx
