Drilling Gems/Rocks

Hi, I'm new here and have tumbled a lot of rocks into gems.  I'd like to drill and string them as jewelry.  I've looked out on the net for a drill press for gems & rocks and am not finding what I think I want.  Does anyone use a drill press for this kind of work and can recommend a manufacturer and model?  Thanks, Diane
