Jewelry Makers Network

A gathering place for jewelry makers to share ideas, make friends, & to have fun

I am finding I am collecting more and more "things" and need to transport them to classes and sharing times.  What do you do to transport your stones/beads/gems without bringing everything in your collections. I found a travel tote with wheels that is perfect, but I don't want to bring everything as that makes the tote very heavy.  Any ideas on the proper storing of stones, beads and gems?  I hate to see any of them scratched because I do have some painted cabashons that are beautiful, but in a divided box, they do rub a lot.  Please help a newbie with some ideas.

Thanks,

Hi Katie,

I would suggest a match box car container or something similar with separate compartments. You could add cotton balls or quilting stuffing to keep them from moving around. Hope this helps!
