A gathering place for jewelry makers to share ideas, make friends, & to have fun
This is the first wirework jewellery I have made. Thanks to sites like jewelrylessons.com and how-to-make-jewelry.com, I combined techniques using the doodle clasp idea and greek square spiral (modified) and the switch knot idea only woven in wire. The hearts and beads are polymer clay. Hope you enjoy. Would love to know your thoughts on this. All the best! Necklace ~ 16 inches. Includes a wire ring extender. I'm giving this to one of my sisters for Valentine's day.

Being able to change the pendant is a great way to make multi-use jewellery, great idea. I know what you mean about the squares, they are an intermediate to advanced shape to make with wire and like you I am still trying to perfect them. Good luck with your unfinished projects.
Hi Jane
Thanks for your feedback. I thought about adding the square spirals as a link but couldn't get it to work right and then thought I would leave them hang as they were in the earrings. The hearts 'lift out' of their holders so my sister can hang other lightweight items if she chooses.
I know what you mean about getting your creative muse working after the holidays. I'm struggling as well and thankfully have some unfinished projects to complete. I'm hoping that will 'kickstart' things and keep me going.
All the best!
Jean
Hi Jean
Great first wirework set, I love the polymer clay hearts and beads - they look shop bought. The greek square spirals are a good idea, but I would have used them as the link between the two styles of chain or perhaps made heart shaped links to pull the whole theme together. Keep up the good work.
I am still struggling to regain my creative muse after the Xmas break but I will post something soon.
