About Me - Tell us a little about yourself and your area of expertise: I started out making jewelry for myself because I didn't like anything in the stores. I researched it on the net, watched a few videos, bought some material and the rest is history!! I made a few pieces and started wearing them myself. I received a lot of compliments and my friends wanted me to make it for them. That’s when I realized that it could more than just a hobby. To my amazement, I sold a lot of pieces already through word of mouth or a live show. I'm working now on my website (It's not ready yet, hopefully soon). I work mostly with natural materials such as turquoise, citrine, amethyst, fresh water pearls mixed with vermeil findings and chains. There’s so much to learn and explore so I’m grateful for people like Karen that create these forums / means of sharing with each other.
