Hi John,

Welcome to JMN. I have found alot of jewelry supplies at Hobby Lobby, Michaels, and Joann's fabrics.

There are several sites that I frequent as well. Here are a few of them:

www.firemountaingems.com

www.rings-things.com

www.bluemud.com

www.artfire.com/users/beadznstonezjewelrysupplies

www.artfire.com

http://gypsygemshandcraftedjewelry.weebly.com/lampwork-glass-galler...   <-- I make glass beads for use to others as well.

Hope this helps. I just started too so I am in the same situation. Good Luck~

Here are some inexpensive sites I think is worth checking out:

Don't forget etsy and ebay!  I've found some unique beads and findings on etsy.  Mainly it's just a matter of taking the time to search the web and keeping track of(bookmarking) places when you run across them.  When I buy tools I always do a search on the web for comments (consumer reviews) on the particular brand I'm interested in.  You'll find a lot of comments and opinions on the forums as well that are helpful in deciding which ones to purchase.  Getting the best you can afford is helpful as tools are a really important part of jewelry making.  If you are a garage saler or a thrift store/second hand store frequenter sometimes you'll find some really nice vintage jewelry that can be taken apart and "renewed".   So many options - so little time!  Best of luck with your new adventure!

You have a large choice when it comes to pearls. Other than the akoya and Tahitian pearls, you can also opt for south sea pearls. South sea pearls from the leizhou city in china are very famous. There are different types of south sea pearls. The Australian pearl is world famous for its bright color, excellent quality, big size and beautiful shape. A south unique jewelry, sea pearl necklace looks beautiful and charming. It is the perfect accessory for any woman's wardrobe. You can transform any look with the addition of a simple yet pretty pearl pendant.

Tahitian Pearls Necklace is the desire of every woman. It makes for a perfect present for a special occasion like a birthday or an anniversary. You might think that pearl jewelry will cut a big hole in your pocket, but that isn't the case. wholesale jewelry is available in the markets. However, you need to be observant and keep a look out for good deals on pearls. You can even buy pearl jewelry online. Very often you will find great, cheap deals on pearl jewelry on the internet. Also, you might find wholesale quality pearl necklaces, pearl bracelets and pearl earrings really cheap on online stores.

Just like I told you yesterday, the wholesale costume jewelry and fashion necklaces would replace the costume rhinestone jewelry in the coming future and revamp the belly button rings jewelry at another website of business in china.

hi there, I just joined the forum today. If you are interested in jewelry, please click:Wholesale Jewelry Stores

Well when I pick things up in person, I go to Michael's, Walmart, Hobby Lobby, Joanne's, and many other places. Hardware stores even (things like wire, and fishing bits (dunno what they are called but make great chain) and other odd ball things are available there). When I shop online my first suggestion to people is: FiremountainGems.com

They have just about everything you could need and over very good prices and shipping rates. They have everything from beads, tools, to displays.

Then I usually refer them to: etsy.com  (they have more unique things, and custom pieces can be made, haggling, and you can buy from someone who isn't a big business and even locals.)

For beads and other such things I suggest: beadsonsale.com (google beads on sale, or cheap beads. You can find tons of other sites that are similar)
