About Me - Tell us a little about yourself and your area of expertise
I have been beading for about 8 years. I enjoy working the most with semi-precious stones and lampwork. I don't make the lampwork as there are so many beautiful pieces for sale.
About 5 yrs ago I had to stop beading because I had both my knees replaced. I was out of commission for 2 years.
I never in my wildest dreams thought the price of gold and especially silver would go so high. And the precious gemstones I used to get for $5-10 a strand are now closer to $30.
Which means I have had to switch gears a little and buy more copper and brass (antiqued) and work with higher grade less expensive beads.
All I can say is thank goodness brown is the new black or I'd be sunk!
I really love beading, but I love looking at what others create too. I have a deep down love of color and bringing beads and focals together for a match no one would have considered.
I really want to start selling my items but am a little hesitant to do so as there are so many others out there. I know mine are unique and probably some would call sedate compared to what others do.
