My name is Yared Girma, i'm from Ethiopia. I design & make jeweleries, I mount(set) precious stones. All my works are hand made. I've been in the jewelery making for 13 years. During my working years i've made medals & jeweleries for touristes, famous peoples & celebrities while they visited my country. Bench Tip for Organizing Sandpaper On Sanding Boards

I learned this great tip from Tim McCreights “Complete Metalsmith”. In order to organize your sheets of sandpaper and to provide a solid surface for sanding, cut out three pieces of Masonite or Plexiglass 12 inches x 9 1/2 inches (or have the pieces cut out for you at a home improvement center). Mount the sandpaper on the front and back of each board using a spray adhesive glue. Organize by course, medium and fine grit. Jewelry Artistisans Needed (sort of)

Greetings folks -- I am here in behalf of my college daughter, Rebekah. She is a senior at Cleveland Institute of Art and plans on graduating in May (yeah !!). She is working on a project where she has to make plans to set up her own business making jewelry. She herself is not trained in jewelry making, but her project includes researching the hiring of jewelers to make her products. I will share pictures of her jewelry ideas once she sends them to me.
